Learn To Speak Last.

                         Learn To Speak Last.....

You will be told in your whole life that you must learn to listen. I would say, you need to learn to be the last to speak. We can take the example of world best case study of Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela is universally regarded as the great leader of all times regardless of the culture, nation, and color. He was the son of the tribal chief in Africa. He was asked one day

How did you learn to be a great leader?

He Responded: He use to go with his father in the tribal meetings and he quoted two things his father used to follow and same he followed in his whole life.

1- They always sit in a circle.

2- His father is always the last to speak.

The skill to hold your opinion to yourself does two great things.

a- It gives everyone the feeling that they have been heard. It also gives everyone else
the feeling that they have contributed.

b-You will get the benefit of listening to everyone else opinion before you render
           your opinion.

The skill to keep your opinion to yourself is very important, if you agree with some buddy, don’t node YES if you disagree with some buddy don’t node NO. Simply sit there and take it all in and the only thing you are allowed to do is to ask the question So that you can understand what they are saying, why they are saying, Why they have the opinion they have. Not just what they are speaking. And in the end you will get your turn, It sounds very easy but it's not. Practice being the last to speak. This is what Nelson Mandela did.
